Join NBCC and New York Genome Center to Crowd-source Data |
This month, NBCC is collaborating with the New York Genome Center to collect genealogical data from men and women with breast cancer. The resulting database will provide critical information for breast cancer researchers as they work to understand how to prevent breast cancer and metastasis.

Support SHARE with a Gift from Your IRA
|
For more than 40 years, SHARE has provided dedicated, experienced support to women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer. Whether SHARE has made a difference in your life, or a loved one's, we hope you will consider making a tax-efficient gift from your retirement account to support our free services.
As you may know, the IRA Rollover Law was permanently extended last year. This means that you can make a gift to SHARE from your retirement account without including the distributed amount in your total income, if you meet the following requirements:
- You must be 70 ½ years old
- You must not receive any goods or services in return for your gift
- Your rollover may not exceed $100,000
To make a gift, please send a letter to your IRA administrator requesting a direct charitable distribution to SHARE in the amount you wish to donate. The letter should include SHARE's tax id number, 13-3131914.
Please contact Leah Cooper, Director of Development, at
[email protected] or (212) 937-5584 if you have any questions, or need additional information.
Thank you for your support of SHARE!
