Mission Focus
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

In AD 100 there were 12 unreached people groups for every congregation of believers. Now there is 1 unreached people group for every 1000 congregations. (Winter et al.,3)

To follow Jesus is to be on a life-long, adventurous journey. But none of us is meant to be on the journey alone. Spiritual growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s not a solitary process. We must be with others, intentionally banding together for encouragement, support, study and prayer. We recognize the importance of being with others to the process of discipleship and building community. That’s why we have Life Groups. Most groups meet weekly to study scripture, pray together, sometimes share a meal or do fun stuff together. Groups are encouraged to serve their community together in some way.

Fall Start Dates for Life Groups Listed Below
Please contact the group leader for more info on joining the group.

James Island Outreach. This is a gentle reminder that Saint James is the cereal church for JIO food bank. Please continue to bring cereal with you on Sunday mornings to help resupply the shelves. Also, our team is in need of a few more volunteers. We volunteer the first Tuesday of each month from 9:15 to 11:45 AM. Please contact Sue Morrison, suemorrison@comcast.net or 843.532.1988, if you are interested.
