A constantly evolving, consistently changing series of musical performances by a band that never plays the same songs in the same way twice. For this performance, Chris Harford will be joined by Dave Dreiwitz (Ween, Joe Russo's Almost Dead), Scott Metzger (Joe Russo's Almost Dead, WOLF!), & Joe Russo (Joe Russo's Almost Dead). Band of Changes' two performances are almost sold out - a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.   Friday, November 29 & Saturday, November 30 at 8:00pm.
In 1981, writer and Warhol associate Glenn O’Brien, Swiss photographer Edo Bertoglio, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, a graffiti innovator and noise music artist who’d just begun to exhibit his paintings, hit the streets of lower Manhattan to make a movie about the bombed out bohemia that they knew.

Downtown 81 follows Basquiat trying to move a painting while hustling for a place to sleep, a window on a lost world of life on the margins and crazy creative ferment.   Opens Saturday, November 30.
Poh Lin Lee is a trauma therapist who lives with her family on Christmas Island, Australia, talking daily with the asylum seekers held in a high-security detention center hidden in the island’s core, supporting them in a situation that is as unbearable as its outcome is uncertain. Island of the Hungry Ghosts was recently nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary. See what makes it stand apart on Sunday, December 1 at 4:30 & 7:00 pm.

This film is a part of Hopewell Theater's ongoing series,  The Art of Living Well , featuring inspiring films, speakers and interactive discussions exploring ways of cultivating serenity, meaning and a deeper connection to one’s self and the world.
