BSAC/Youth on Board working for Climate Justice!

On Saturday April 29th, we joined thousands of concerned residents on Boston Common at the  People's Climate March.

For the past year, BSAC/YOB's Climate Team, understanding the vulnerability  of Boston to climate change and the disproportionate  impact climate change has on low-income communities, has worked to educate and engage their community to work for climate justice.

here.

During the past year, BSAC/YOB worked with Timothy Gay & Pam Pelletier of the Science Department of BPS to develop a student-friendly comprehensive climate change curriculum that will be used by elementary, middle and high school students in the Boston Public Schools.

The curriculum aligns with the newly developed state standards that mandates that climate change be part of public education framework.  Visit DESE's website to read the complete  MA State Framework.

After speaking at the rally, Youth on Board/BSAC along with Mr. Gay, conducted a teach-in on our curriculum.
