The 14th Annual Resource Roundup is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Holiday Inn in Casa Grande. The Resource Roundup is an "agency to agency" educational forum, intended to update attendees about the amazing resources available to help limited income individuals and families in Pinal County. The Resource Roundup has become a signature event due to the continuous support and interest from you, the participants, agencies, sponsors and exhibitors.
The goal is to provide the latest information available to those who are on the frontlines everyday working with people who find themselves in desperate situations and need assistance. Attendees are encouraged and challenged to do the best job possible for those they serve.
Craig McFarland, Casa Grande Mayor will start the day off with a welcome that's sure to raise our spirits and set the day in motion.
Tim Kanavel, Pinal County's Economic Development Program Manager has agreed to speak again this year and will provide updated information on the new economic development projects in Pinal County. Also scheduled to present is Cynthia Zwick, Executive Director, Arizona Community Action Association who will speak about poverty, justice and equality.
The workshops will feature updated presentations on Homeless Services, Senior Caregiving, Autism, Health & Wellness and Employment Services offered through Arizona@ Work. New workshops include Drug Trends, Suicide Prevention, Arizona Developmental Disabilities, Alternatives to Payday Loans, Utility Companies Programs and Parentings Skills.
Forty exhibitors will showcase services and offer valuable promotional and informational items. The cost to attend this event is $30.00 per person and includes a fabulous lunch, resource materials and a chance to win door prizes donated by the exhibitors.
As in the past few years, attendees can have fun by dressing up to fit the theme. This year's theme is the 1970's decade. A formal costume contest will be held again this year.
