Dear BFCCPS Community,

Next week we will hold both of our holiday concerts for students participating in our band and chorus programs. Students in Band and Chorus for Grades Five and Six will perform on December 9th from 7pm to 8:30 pm; the 7th and 8th Grade Concert will be held on December 10th from 7pm to 8:30 (the original date was rescheduled due to inclement weather earlier this week.)

Thanks to the generosity of the community, almost all of the gifts for the Santa Foundation have been claimed. If you've signed up to provide a gift, please remember to wrap it, tag it (with a removable tag with the family #, type of gift and gift recipient) so that the right gift gets to the right individual. Gifts must be dropped off this Saturday, December 7th between 9 and noon to the BFCCPS Learning Commons; all gifts will be delivered to the Santa Foundation that day!

Important Reminders:
Now that winter weather has arrived, please be sure that your student(s) are dressed appropriately for the weather each day. We will continue to have outdoor physical education and recess whenever possible; students are also outside for car line pickup at the end of the day.
When the "feels like" temperature is under 25 recess will be indoors. On other days during the winter months, when the temperature is between 25 and 45 degrees we will be outside for recess and PE. On those days we require students to wear a 2nd layer sweatshirt or coat (hats and gloves are also strongly recommended). If students want to play in the snow, both snowboots and snow pants are required as well.

As a reminder, recess is 25 minutes long and physical education is 50 minutes long so please ensure your students come dressed appropriately for New England weather each day. S tudents who are not prepared for cold weather may be referred to Dr. Levering the Assistant Head of School for follow up.
