HOTEL INFORMATION
Rooms are guaranteed at 4:00pm, but there will be options for early registration as well. If your room isn't ready, please check your bags with the bell captain and then go to worship. We are sold out at the hotel, so if for any reason you do not yet have a room reserved, please contact Kim Violette in School Ministries right away! Also, today is the day to be sure you cancel any hotel reservations you won’t need for LEC to avoid unnecessary charges. Please contact the hotels directly to make those changes.
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Each school should designate one person to pick up the envelope with your school name badges at LEC Registration at the South Counter. Please be sure all on your staff know who your contact person is so that they will be able to get badges from the designated person. Badges should be worn at all times for proper identification as a paid attendee. If your school is sending more than 30 staff members, you may pick up your name badges individually.
OFFERINGS
Two offerings are taken each year at LEC. The first, during worship on Sunday, is designated for an organization that you, the attendees at LEC, vote on in the previous year. This year that organization is the
Grantparent
Mission Project
. Grantparent is a mission project of School Ministries in the Pacific Southwest District that sponsors children in urban PSD Lutheran schools to help offset the cost of their tuition. Please take some time prior to LEC to prayerfully consider how God is asking you to gift this mission project with your offering.
The second offering is taken during the banquet on Monday evening. This offering is designated as a
Thankoffering
. This is a suggested “one dollar per year of service” gift in thanksgiving to God for your personal years of service in Lutheran ministry. The monies collected for this Thankoffering are given – dollar for dollar – to children of PSD Lutheran educators who are attending a Concordia university in preparation for a career in Lutheran ministry. A special envelope was sent to every administrator at each PSD school in early September to collect those specific offerings. Please collect this Thankoffering as a staff prior to attending LEC and designate a staff member to bring the offering forward at the banquet. Thank you!
LEC SPONSORS
We would like to acknowledge
Concordia University Irvine
, a Tier 1 Conference Sponsor for this year's LEC! We are excited to continue our great partnership with CUI at this year's event. As you see representatives from CUI and visit their booth, please thank them for their partnership in Lutheran education! We are also thankful to
Concordia Plan Services
for being a Tier 2 sponsor this year! Thank you to both these partners in ministry for their support of Lutheran education!
MORNING BIBLE STUDIES
We are thrilled to have
Pastor Jake Boessling
from Christ's Greenfield Lutheran Church and School, Gilbert, AZ,
leading Bible studies on Monday and Tuesday mornings in the Santa Rosa Ballroom! Please bring your Bibles or mobile devices each morning. Coffee will be available Monday morning as well!
COLLABORATIVE SESSIONS
The Collaborative Sessions on Monday afternoon are new to LEC this year. We have 33 Speed Charging Station options for you to visit, 22 different round table discussions for you to participate in, and four FAQ sessions for you to attend: 1) H.E.R.O. Safety Program with Scott Coleman; 2) What Does Messy Handwriting Say About Child Development with Megan Eldridge; 3) Character Formation Project with Jack Preus; and 4) Legalities Related to Gender Identity with Ron Van Blarcom. You will have two separate 45-minute time blocks to choose from these different options!
EXHIBIT HALL
The LEC Committee is excited about all that will be offered in our Exhibit Hall this year! Come discover new resources for your classrooms, your school communities, and your own professional growth. Perhaps you might also want to do some shopping for staff or family Christmas gifts...or a little something for yourself! Your APP will serve as your passport to enter the RAFFLE this year, which will take place Tuesday morning at 10:15am (must be present to win). Have you downloaded the app yet? Search for
PSD School Ministries
in your app store!
In addition to our wonderful exhibitors, the
Technology Playground
will be located in the Exhibit Hall. This area is designed for you to come play with different educational technology. It is a casual setting that encourages interacting one-on-one or in a small group with a fellow educator who is knowledgeable about various technologies for teaching and learning. A list of Playground Aides (presenters) and topics are listed on the app (did we mention you should download the app?!).
LEC FOOD OPTIONS
We are excited to share with you that the hotel will be providing Cash and Carry food options for both breakfast and lunch on Monday in the Exhibit Hall! Breakfast options are breakfast burritos and sandwiches for $9; fruit, muffins, and granola bars for $2; and coffee, tea, and bottled juices for $3. Lunch will have assorted sandwiches and wraps for $12; personal pizzas for $10; hot dogs for $9; salads for $7; and other snacks and drinks for $2-3! Be sure to make plans to head to the Exhibit Hall for your meals on Monday!

As a full-time speaker, author, radio personality, and humorist she has won the hearts (and funny bones) of people all over the country at hundreds of camps, seminars, retreats, chapels, and conventions. In addition to speaking, Amberly serves as an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University.
