BCM Loves Our Vets
This weekend we remember those that have served our country and those that continue to defend the freedoms for which our country was established.

In honor of Veteran's Day, BCM is offering FREE ADMISSION to all active and retired military personnel on Sunday, Nov. 10, 1-5 p.m. BCM also offers $2 off admission for active and veteran military personnel during normal business hours. For more information, call BCM at (859) 491-4003.
An Evening with Harlan and Friends
Nov. 8, 6-9 p.m.
Join BCM and the Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy for, An Evening With Harlan and Friends , at Headquarters Event Center at 935 Monmouth Street, Newport, KY, on Friday, November 8, from 6- 9 PM. All proceeds from this event will benefit the restoration of Harlan Hubbard’s studio located in Fort Thomas, now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Seldom seen and never-before-seen Hubbard paintings from private collections, as well as BCM's expanded collection will be displayed. A few original pieces will be available for purchase. Guests will also be able to bid on a number of unique baskets of Kentucky gifts.

Eat Well and Colonel’s Kitchen will provide hors d’oeuvres. There will be adult beverages and live music as well. Tickets are $40 person and can be purchased HERE or by email: ftfcky@gmail.com or call: Sidney Thomas at (513) 205-8756.

Autumn Animal Adventures at BCM
Chippie's Sensational Science Lab Returns Nov. 7
Male deer fight for mates, ladybugs stuff themselves silly and bears beef up for a long winter's nap. Learn about animal science and how our furry, scaly and feather friends adapt to the changes in seasons at  Chippie's Sensational Science Lab: Autumn Animal Adventures  Thursday, Nov. 7, from 1-2 p.m.

Chippie, BCM’s chipmunk mascot, introduces science to children aged 3 to 5 in this fun and educational monthly series, which incorporates S.T.E.A.M. elements and age-appropriate experiments! 

Cost: museum admission plus $3 lab fee per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration required: call (859) 491-4003.
Calling All Volunteers! Get Aboard
the BCM Holiday Toy Trains!
Ice Cream Social Friday, November 8, 2 p.m.

Past, current and future Holiday Toy Trains volunteers -- please join us for an ice cream social to celebrate the opening of Holiday Traditions@BCM and learn how you can be part of this beloved Northern Kentucky family event. Make a sundae, view the trains display, Dickens' Victorian Village and Wahoo's Winter Wonderland, then sign up to be an engineer, conductor or greeter for this year's holiday extravaganza. Sorry-- adults only! RSVP by November 6 to education@bcmuseum.org or call (859)-491-4003.
Scripps Howard
Communications Internship Available
College juniors and seniors majoring in communications, journalism, marketing and related fields -- here's your chance to get hands-on, professional experience while you are still in school. Behringer-Crawford Museum has an opening for a paid communications intern funded by the Scripps Howard Foundation.

The successful applicant will spend 10-15 hours per week during the spring, summer or fall 2020 semesters working in the museum's marketing department creating awareness and "buzz"about the museum and its programs via a variety of communication strategies. Strong writing skills. creative thinking and computer literacy are musts.

BCM is inviting nominations for the museum's tenth annual Two-Headed Calf Community Service Awards. The awards are meant to celebrate the nominees' extraordinary achievement for service to the community, to history or to learning.
