SBA Announces Appointment of Wendell G. Davis as Regional Administrator for Region 1
The
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)announced the appointment of Wendell G. Davis as Regional Administrator for SBA Region I, which covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Davis comes from the DCB Law Group LLC where he was a Managing Partner and established the firm's Commercial Transactions Practice Group. Read more here.
Employer Confidence Closes 2017 at 18-Year High
Surging optimism about the state and national economies left Massachusetts employers with their highest level of confidence in 18 years as 2017 drew to a close.
The Associated Industries of Massachusetts Business Confidence Index rose one point to 63.6 during December, its highest level since November 2000. The BCI gained 3.2 points during a year in which employer confidence levels remained comfortably within the optimistic range. Read more here.

Ten Pin Eatery to host job fair
Ten Pin Eatery, the new entertainment complex opening at Cape Cod Mall this winter, will host a series of job fairs this month to fill the more than 100 employment positions available. The fairs will be held on Thursday, January 25, from 5-8 PM and Saturday, January 27 from 11 AM -3 PM outside of the Ten Pin Eatery construction site in the Macy's Men's Wing of the mall.
