To Your Health: November 2019
Whitney Young Health's Dr. Zeltner Wins CDPHP's People's Choice Award for Top Primary Care Provider
We are proud to announce that Whitney Young Health's own Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Theodore Zeltner, MD, MBA, has been awarded the People's Choice Award in the Top Primary Care Provider category in CDPHP's Top Doctors Awards.

Launched this year, the CDPHP Top Doctors Awards were created to honor local physicians who have proven they can provide better, more cost-effective care. The People's Choice Award honors medical professionals who were nominated by patients and peers in five categories.

Many of Dr. Zeltner's patients have been with him for years or even decades, following him when he moved his practice to Whitney Young Health, so it's no surprise that he was nominated to the Top Primary Care Provider category by a longtime patient, Nancy Kelly, whose daughter began to see Dr. Zelter after a car accident left her permanently disabled.

Congratulations to Dr. Zeltner for receiving this honor which recognizes the depth of his caring, compassion and knowledge.
Kids Helping Kids
Dr. Rhonda Stein, a pediatrician at Whitney Young Health's Albany Health Center, has passed her love of helping others along to her own kids.

Last month, Dr. Stein's three sons said that they wanted to do something to help kids who are patients at Whitney Young Health (WYH). With their mother's approval, Peter, 10; Kevin, 8 and Robby, 6, planned a book drive to collect new and gently-used children's books to be distributed to young WYH patients.

The boys handed out flyers to let their neighbors know about their collection project, then on a rainy Thursday afternoon, they went door-to-door gathering donations. When they got home and unpacked their haul, they found that their neighbor's generosity resulted in the collection of over 500 books!

Kudos to Dr. Stein and her sons for their empathy and hard work, and for making books available to kids who might otherwise go without.
