NIH R15 (AREA) WEBINAR - MAY 16, 2018 - 1 - 2 PM CST
Auburn Faculty are invited to participate in a Zoom meeting with
Dr. Alexandra Ainsztein
,
National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) program director
and institutional point of contact for the R15 (AREA) program. Dr. Ainsztein will provide an overview of the new NIGMS R15 solicitation, the rationale behind the changes, and how best to address the updated requirements.

Submission Deadline - June 11th
The GRO Program is Samsung Electronics and affiliates academic research collaboration platform. Samsung annually calls for innovative research proposals, open to world leading universities to foster collaborative research relationships. Selected projects will be funded for one year. Projects may be extended on an annual basis up to three years, based on research outcomes and necessity for further research partnership determined by Samsung. The program seeks proposals from researchers for novel research in 27 theme areas.

These meetings will provide an excellent forum for updates on the status and issues regarding the many multi-disciplinary aspects of current and future water use, management, and conservation issues. Agency Deadline: July 1 / November 1
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in hand before beginning the fellowship, but may apply while completing the degree requirements.
Stipends start at $60,000 per year, with supplements for high cost-of-living areas and for certain academic specialties.

Applicants should read the NEH guidelines and submit a polished draft of the NEH application form, which is composed of:
- The cover sheet
- 3-page narrative
- 1 page bibliography (which should demonstrate preparation for the project)
- 2-page resume (in editing the full resume, proof of competence for the project should be a priority)
- Appendices if relevant
The selection committee will work with the selected nominees to refine their proposals before the NEH deadline which is September 26, 2017.
