Old Woodward Reconstruction Project Update - 5/18/18
Weather permitting, contractors will be busy this weekend (Saturday, 5-19-18) and Sunday (5-20-18), as they work to complete water and sewer related jobs on Maple Rd. on both the east and west ends of the work zone.

Having completed the majority of their work on the north part of the project, fiber optic crews anticipate they'll install fiber optic conduit along Maple Rd. starting Saturday. Meanwhile, electrical crews anticipate they will move to work along Maple Rd. soon to begin their work in that section of the project.

Looking ahead to next week, (5-21-18 to 5-26-18), it is anticipated that contractors will begin to prepare for the pouring of concrete, north of Maple. South of Maple and Old Woodward, crews are expected to connect buildings on both sides of Old Woodward to the newly installed water and sewer services. This process will involve temporary water shutoffs in order to connect buildings to the new water main. Advisories and in-person notice will be given as soon as possible so merchants can make plans for this necessary process to connect to the new underground water infrastructure.
