GVBL Center Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, GVBL and GVCO leadership determines the closing of The GVBL Center on Bacton Hill Rd.

The Great Valley School District determines whether GVBL can use school district properties. If the school district cancels school or dismisses early, our GVBL rental at school district properties for that evening is cancelled. Please note that often the school district will close their properties and the GVBL Center will remain open.

If GVBL remains open during inclement weather, parents will determine if they are able to safely get to our facility.

Our primary communication source is to notify your coaches and to post an alert on  www.gvco.org GVBL News/Updates,   Facebook and Instagram.

T he Storm competed in the Streeper Memorial Shootout over Thanksgiving weekend, notching three wins in four games. The only loss the Storm suffered was to a strong Spring-Ford team, which the Storm lost to twice in February by around 20 points each time. This past weekend, the Storm lost 29-19 to Spring-Ford, but were tied with about 10 minutes to go in the game. The most exciting win for the team was over Perkiomen Valley. Down 15-2 at one point in the first half the Storm stormed back and won 26-23. The difference in that game was a tenacious full court press that Perkiomen Valley could not break. Over the course of the weekend, Madelyn Shaughnessy, Maura Wiggers and Ava Hall provided key sparks on the offensive end. Defensively, Kate Weikert and Lauren Chain stood out. New Storm members Sophia Kauler, Amelia Guenster and Emily Chi got their first taste of tournament team action. Also providing key contributions for the Storm were Maddie Walsh, Gabby Kasser, Lily Mattison, Izzy Maloskey and Sarah Culbertson. The Storm begin their Malvern league games the weekend of December 7 and look to continue working hard and improving in practice.
