Behind every front door is a neighbor with a story and this story is about a young couple, Mr. and Mrs. C.
Mr. and Mrs. C are first
-time homeowners with two young children. Over the past two years, this couple slowly began discovering issues with appliances, leaks, etc. Unfortunately, they are unable to fix the needed issues in their home due to only having enough income to provide for their family's necessities in life. Mr. and Mrs. C decided they needed assistance and reached out to Rebuilding Together Montgomery County.
Staff from Rebuilding Together Montgomery County conducted a preview of their home. While there, Mrs. C was very eager to learn how to maintain their home and keep it safe for their children. This home preview turned into a great educational conversation.
In addition to making the requested repairs, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County will be replacing their smoke detectors, fire extinguisher, and placing grab bars in the showers so the children can feel stable.
As you can see, every neighbor has a story of home and every story is different. Helping our neighbors, like Mr. and Mrs. C's family, is only possible because of caring friends like you.
