COM AGENDA
From COM to CONG (Council of Ministries to Congregation)

Dear Congregation,

A lot has been happening at Pine Street Church. We sense God's Spirit moving in our midst!

A few recent ministry highlights include the following:
  • We have experienced the exciting launch of our Art Gallery, with its amazing exhibit curated in partnership with Fresh A.I.R. (Artists in Recovery)
  • This coming Pentecost Sunday, May 20, we will present and unveil a new logo and tagline for Pine Street Church.
  • Our Council of Ministries (CoM) voted to become more environmentally sustainable and have authorized our sexton and ministry assistant Guillermo Estrada-Rivera to lead this initiative. Thanks to him for setting up appropriate disposal stations in our public Art Gallery and throughout the church. (And as a friendly reminder, when we toss, let's look for the right bin!)

Finally, some of you have expressed the desire to know more about the work of COM, our representative leadership body, working with our staff leadership.

As one step to ensure more regular communication about CoM leadership initiatives, we will share the most recent monthly CoM agenda here as a regular feature in the Pine Street Post. It serves to be a one-page summary of talking points that relate to the operations and overall vision of our ministry together.
At any time, if you want further information, please feel free to contact me, as Moderator, Pastor Andrew, or other CoM members.

Monthly CoM meetings are open to all church members. Meetings are scheduled on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.

Moving forward together,

Mary Beth Mankin, church moderator

RYAN DAY!
Ryan Connell's 10th Anniversary!

Did you realize that our beloved organist/pianist/co-music director has been faithfully serving our church for ten years?

We have been incredibly blessed with Ryan's musical gifts and talents of playing organ and piano. As an integral part of the Pine Street Church band, he also sometimes has played keyboard, drums, bells, and whatever else has been needed! We are regularly privileged to enjoy his own creative and beautiful compositions and arrangements. Thank you, God, for Ryan!! Where would we be without him???

June 3 will be " Give Thanks for Ryan Day!" We will recognize Ryan's ten years and show our appreciation with a reception and a monetary love gift. You may contribute to this love gift by giving cash or a check made out to Mary Beth Mankin (memo line: for Ryan). If you do not connect with me, you may leave your clearly marked contribution in the church office by May 30, and David will get it to me. We want Ryan and his family to know how special he is to all of us!!

Looking forward to this joyous celebration!

With thanks,
Mary Beth Mankin, Moderator
