Z SCOTT TO TAKE ROLE AS CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY'S NEXT PRESIDENT
Z Scott, Partner, Foley & Lardner LLP, will serve as Chicago State University's next president, effective July 1. Z Scott is confident that she can usher in a new student-focused era at the university.

JENNIFER FARRINGTON TO RECEIVE HONORARY DEGREE FROM COLUMBIA COLLEGE
Jennifer Farrington, President & CEO, Chicago Children's Museum, is a 2018 recipient of an honorary degree from Columbia College Chicago.

"It's a huge honor, it's humbling and something that took me completely by surprise. I have a lot of respect for Dr. Kim, so not only to receive this award at this point in my life is a huge honor but also to have the opportunity to be recognized during his administration is exciting," said Jennifer Farrington. Deb DeHaas, Vice Chairman & Chief Inclusion Officer, Deloitte LLP, will be honored by the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago on Friday, May 11 at their Annual Celebration Event with the United Way Leadership Award. It will be presented to her by previous Honorees Andy McKenna and Rick Waddell.

HEATHER ANICHINI ON CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS PANEL
A recent Stanford University study found that Chicago students learn six years' worth of content in five years' time. Heather Y. Anichini, CEO, The Chicago Public Education Fund, was featured on a Center for American Progress panel called "Unpacking Chicago's Educational Gains: Lessons for Scaling" to discuss those impressive results. 

Heather spoke alongside Chicago Public Schools CEO Dr. Janice Jackson, Vice President of the Joyce Foundation Beth Swanson, Director of the Urban Education Institute Sara Ray Stoelinga and Principal Rodolfo Rojas of Everett Elementary. The Fund's focus on principal quality is one of the four driving factors behind Chicago students' incredible growth.
