SVA's Young Naturalists at
Dry Creek Preserve
Today, SVA students are on service trip to Dry Creek Preserve. They are participating in a native plant restoration project. Dry Creek Preserve is a 152 acre former gravel quarry located just northwest of Lemon Cove. This nature preserve, now fully restored, is the first example of an ecologically-based aggregate mine reclamation in Tulare County. It is also home to the Sequoia Riverlands Trust native plant nursery and demonstration garden that shows the public how to beautifully landscape with native plants to reduce the use of precious resources.

2018-19 Classroom Placement Request
As we engage in the process of putting classes together, we use numerous factors to ensure balanced classes. These factors include academic needs, gender, and social relationships and behaviors. In addition, we know that you, as parents/guardians, have information about your child that can be helpful to us as we prepare class rosters.
If you would like to provide information that we should consider during the formation of class rosters, please complete this form and return it to your school's Front Office no later than Friday, May 25, 2018.
Teachers will create classroom rosters first, since they know the students best. Then, the administration will review rosters with these requests in mind and determine if any changes will be made.
While you may note a teacher preference, placement in a specific teacher's classroom cannot be guaranteed. Multiple factors are considered in student placement; parent requests are one factor among many.
Parents will be informed of class placement in August.

SVA Theater Presents Aladdin
Encore Theater
324 South N St.
Tulare, CA 93274

$5 (children 3 and under are free)
Our story begins centuries ago, when the royalty of Agrabah spoke one language and the citizens another. Communication is impossible without translation... which is controlled by the evil vizier, Jafar. When the rebellious princess, Jazmin, and a delinquent street rat, Aladdin, meet in the marketplace, they find something special in one another. Together, they work to transcend the barriers between them and, with a little magic, help create a better future for themselves and for Agrabah.
