Daily Prayer
Starter
Please set aside time each day to pray for 2-3 minutes. This week's prayer starter is:
"
O God our Father, help me not forget that your Son Jesus invited us to start our prayers this way to remind us that we are not in a business relationship with you. Lord, you do not require something from us to be in good standing with you and you do not owe us something no matter how well we might be doing. Rather, like a good family member, you are always there and wanting to pursue a better relationship. With that in mind I pray ..."

General Fund Pledging
for 2018
Thanks to everyone who has pledged or already given!
$151,290 has been pledged so far, but we need to reach, at least, $155,940 to meet our budgeting goals.
As I'm sure you know, this new chapter in the life of Ghent Church is refreshing. But, it needs your financial support. Please pray for God's guidance about your annual giving. Place your pledge card in the offering plate.
Sanctuary Campaign
THANK YOU
Our pledge goal of $60,000 for sanctuary renovations and repairs has been met. Thank you to everyone for helping us to meet this goal. Please send in all pledge donations by August 31, 2018.
Your brother in Christ,

May is Mental Health Month
At Ghent UMC
Please join us throughout the month of May as we seek to grow, learn, and love others as Jesus taught.
We invite you to use the GUMC resources to learn more about mental health and substance use issues.
We are also posting daily prayers on our Social Media channels.
God asks us to be faithful, to love one another, to reach out to those who are broken and to seek justice for all God's people.
