A Word From The Executive Director
|
|
I hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was filled with delicious food and priceless memories. The Chamber Office is now in the final stages of production for the 2020 Forest County Visitor Guide and excepting any last-minute listings from area businesses and organizations. The ad in the guide provides greater value for advertising dollars invested, because it offers the advantage of a cooperative county-wide effort and wide exposure.
The Chamber is also very excited about our upcoming 2020 plans as we plan and progress to strengthen our potential in support of area businesses and our tourism based venues. Collaborative efforts are being formed with our County rural Chambers as well as our surrounding neighboring County Chambers.

Connor Human Restoration
member since 2012
Connor Human Restoration is a chiropractic and functional medicine clinic that offers everything from metabolic therapies like targeted nutrition and detoxification to chiropractic adjustments, electromagnetic therapies, cranio-sacral therapies, and deep tissue work. We are committed to using every modality available to rehabilitate the sick, restore the depleted, and re-energize people who are fatigued.
Our clinic currently employs two doctors: Dr. Laura Connor and Dr. Dakota Malzewski. Dr. Connor specializes in clinical nutrition and discovering the genetic roots of deep metabolic dysfunction to apply targeted nutrition to support the healing of chronic pain and illnesses that include autoimmune issues, digestive dysfunction, cancer, Alzheimer's, dementia, thyroid imbalances, behavioral issues, and learning disabilities. Laura is committed to educating patients about their unique biochemical makeup, finding the underlying reasons for an ailment, and providing individualized solutions for a full recovery. Her practice flourishes because she believes we are each as unique as our fingerprints, making personalized treatment a necessity. As a result of her genetically informed nutrition protocols, her practice has grown nationally.
Dr. Dakota Malzewski has recently joined us and we are so glad to have her! Dakota blends tools from many different chiropractic techniques to tailor her care for her patients. Her techniques include, but are not limited to Thompson Drop, SOT, Applied Kinesiology, Activator, Gonstead, and organ system manipulation. Dakota is passionate about addressing the whole body and her rapidly growing practice of patients focuses on a wide range of issues to include maternity care and acute and chronic pain.
At the beginning of February 2020, we are moving to our new location just North of Palmer Park in Crandon. At that time we will also offer massage therapy and other specialized modalities to serve the needs of our patient population. To stay tuned as we grow, you can find us on Facebook or go to our website at

Leadership Forest County
Leadership Forest County is a nine-month program that will cultivate and prepare emerging leaders in Forest County. Leadership Forest County creates an awareness of services and organizations within the County, and reinforces an individual’s call to civic responsibility and citizen involvement.
Overview
Leadership Forest County meets monthly for day-long sessions, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, beginning with a kick-off and introduction and ending with a graduation ceremony. Each monthly session will focus on a specific area within the County including business, industry, medical education, government, and community service. Program activities will include touring Forest County businesses, meeting with community leadership, and completing a community project.
The program fee is $345 per participant from a Chamber Member business. Non-Chamber Members fees are $375 per participant, and will cover all expenses including the retreat, lunches for each monthly session, and program materials.
Leadership Forest County is open to all Forest County residents and/or employees of Forest County businesses. Two 50% scholarships are available, and will be awarded based upon need and candidate qualifications.
The 2020-2021 Leadership Forest County program is limited to 20 participants. To graduate, a minimum of 90% attendance is required. Absenteeism will result in being dropped from the program. Program tuition is non-refundable.
