Celebrate Magnolias, Maifests, SPJST Founders Day
 
Wow! So much to see and do this weekend, better start entering addresses in your GPS tonight! Magnolia Days in Columbus kicks off Friday night with The Barditch Hippies and Black Cat Choir. St. John the Baptist in Fayetteville is throwing a Cajun Fest Friday with Charles Thibodeaux and the Austin Cajun Aces. I bet there will be some crawfish!!! Magnolia Days continue on Saturday with music all day and night featuring Dujka Brothers at 5P and Cody Canada & The Departed headlining at 10:30P. Back to Fayetteville on Saturday, this time at the SPJST Lodge 1 to celebrate Founders Day. Music starts at 11A with Chris Rybak, 4P with Round Top Brass Band, and a good, ol' fashioned Texas dance with Glen Collins & The Alibis at 7P. And Maifests!!!! On Saturday, Anhalt has its annual celebration with Shiner Hobo Band, Ennis Czech Boys & Billy Mata. On Sunday, La Grange has the annual Slavnost at the Texas Czech & Heritage Center with The Travelers and a special performance by the Eva Adams Ceska Kapela. Music starts @ noon.

Feeling FESTive? Conjunto Festival in San Antonio Friday-Sunday...Shuffle Fest at Western Bar & Grill in Navasota Friday and Saturday...Deutschen Pfest in Pflugerville Friday-Sunday. Check out Austin Polka Band, 2:30P on Saturday...Honky Tonk Chili Challenge in Tomball.

More great music: I had originally had Charlie Robison listed as playing at Schroeder Hall on Friday night, but they changed the schedule. Cody Canada & The Departed is now on the schedule. Friday - Mike Gest & Night Session are in Conroe...Lost Cause is at the fair in Giddings...Fab 5 is at Lodge 88 in Houston...Los Kolaches & Nathan Colt Young fire up the weekend party for the Sweet Home Volunteer Fire Department. Saturday - Czech Melody Masters are at Maifest at Saengerrunde Halle in Austin...Junior & The Hi-Lites are at Sweet Home to keep the home fires burning at the VFD dance. Sunday - Czech Melody Masters are at Lodge 18 in Elgin...Texas Roadrunners are at Houston VFW...Chris Rybak is at the May Feast in Nordheim...Fritz Hodde & The Fab 6 are in Schulenburg.
