IGNITE YOUR FAITH CLOSING WEEKEND MAY 19 & 20 |
|
|
In September 2016, we embarked on a journey as a community of faith. Fr. Mike called it "our most important campaign ever." We called it
Ignite Your Faith, and the purpose of the spiritual campaign was for each of us to deepen our relationship with Jesus. Using Matthew Kelly's book,
The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic, we created four simple, yet very powerful phases: Prayer, Study, Generosity and Evangelization.
As a parish we rated ourselves on each of the phases as a pre-assessment. On a scale of 1-10, we rated prayer 5.5, study 3.6, generosity 6.05 and evangelization 3.62. Not surprising, our best mark was in generosity. We, at St. Bart's, are givers. We reach out not only in our own community, but in the community at large as well. That said, we have lots of room to grow! And grow we did! In the first 3 phases, our average self-assessment scores increased.
We ask that you all complete the post self-assessment that will be distributed for Evangelization/Faith Sharing this weekend. Thank you for your participation in this powerful initiative!

MEN'S ST. BART'S SOFTBALL
Looking for a few men (age 28 or older) for openings on the two St. Bart's softball teams. We practice in late May and games are played on Mondays in June & July at Our Lady of Grace fields in Edina. This is a church league so we are fairly laid back and out for camaraderie. We grill out after each game and families are welcome. If interested, contact Bill Muske,
