Window into Wonder Tours

Lower School families are invited to join the Headmaster for one of many Window into Wonder Tours, where we will spend time exploring the rich instruction your children experience every day. Click here to register.

Winter Concert

The Lower School Winter Concert will be held on Thursday, December 12 at the Irving Bible Church (2435 Kinwest Pkwy Irving, Texas 75063). K-2 Grade students should arrive at 5:00 p.m. for the program beginning at 5:15 p.m. 3-5 Grade Students should arrive at 6:00 p.m. for their program which begins at 6:30 p.m. Click here for the dress code.

Latin Appreciation Night

All are invited to join us on January 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for a special night in celebration of our Latin program. Our teachers are preparing to regale you with an exploration of Latin and the reasons why we teach it, dramatic recitations, and more. We hope to see you there!

Window into Wonder

Families are invited to join the Upper School Headmaster for the next Window into Wonder Tuesday, December 17 from 9:15-9:55 a.m. Tour the building, step into classrooms, and observe all the rich offerings available to your scholars. Sign up here.

Folkmoot: An Eighth Grade Event 

Folkmoot is this Saturday, December 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Upper School campus. There are still many items needed for this event! Please click here to sign up. We especially need someone to spearhead the decorating of Mead Hall. See here for more information.

Coffee with the Headmaster

Eighth-grade families are invited to join the Upper School Headmaster on Wednesday, December 4 from 8:00-8:50 a.m. for coffee and an informal conversation focused on grade-level specifics. Ninth-grade families save the date for December 11 and tenth-grade families for December 18. Click here to RSVP.

Prospective Parent Tours

If you have friends who may be interested in GHI, please refer them to sign up for a tour. Word-of-mouth referrals are highly valuable, and we trust our current families to spread the word about Great Hearts. Open Enrollment ends on December 13. Families who apply after this date will not be included in the lottery, but will be added to the wait list.

College Counselor News: PSAT Scores

Yearbook Picture Request

The Yearbook Club is in the process of collecting pictures. Please send any photographs you have taken of 2019-2020 school events (field trips, spirit days, sporting events, etc.) to [email protected].

Beverages on Campus

Please remember that only bottled water with a lid is allowed in classrooms or halls ( handbook, page 70). Students who have other drinks in hallways or classrooms may be asked to throw it away.

Rugby Interest Meeting

Upper School (6-11) male students are invited to join the Rugby Interest Meeting on Tuesday, December 10 at 3:25 p.m. (after dismissal) in Room 103.
