Forest Glen Students Present at College of DuPage
As part of their Problem-Based Learning unit, Forest Glen 4th grade students and teachers partnered with the College of DuPage to help COD solve some of their pressing needs. Earlier this year, COD provided the students a field experience on campus, then presented the students with the following questions:
  • How can we get more students and community members educated about the COD Prairie?
  • How can we help COD make more people aware of their educational programs?
  • How can we help the COD MAC Center create more engaging experiences?
  • Weeks later COD staff visited Forest Glen for a PBL Expert Workshop to provide feedback to student ideas. Finally, last week students visited a College of DuPage lecture hall and presented their final solutions to COD staff. A big thank you to the College of DuPage for being such an amazing PBL partner with District 41. Students experienced firsthand that their ideas can make a difference in our community and our world!
