From Our Pastor
Summer Ministries-June Camps and Mission Trip
This week we launch our summer ministry programming for children and students. Thirty-six pre-teens and adults departed for camp on Friday, June 2,
heading to Glen Rose. We have a group of 18 students and adults who departed Saturday morning, June 3, for the Dominican Republic, and then a rather sizeable number (48) of students/adults will depart for camp in Glorieta, New Mexico the middle of June. Whew! The opening days of June are intense. I am grateful to God for our leadership and sponsors who plan and execute these ministry opportunities. To the glory of God, may many lives be touched by the Holy Spirit in significant ways all during these summer days of ministry and mission.
Summer Sermon Emphasis-NEXT STEPS
In a few weeks, we will conclude the series of messages from the Sermon on the Mount. Beginning July 9, I plan to begin a series of messages entitled, "NEXT STEPS." All of us have next steps we
are to take in our walk with Christ. The Bible never envisions stagnation in our experience with the Lord. We are to be moving constantly toward maturity in the faith. Yet, what are the next steps for each of us? I can't answer that question on an individual basis, but God's Word gives us some clarity and direction as we look to our own next steps. Don't miss this series of messages this summer! Also, please pray for these messages to stimulate us toward being like Jesus! Upcoming sermons include:
June 11--"Wolves in Sheep's Clothing"
June 18--Dr. Richard Blake preaching
June 25--"Religious or Godly"
July 2--"The Wise and the Foolish"
July 9--"You Must Be Born Again"
July 16--"Going Public-The Witness of Baptism"
Debt Reduction on the Children's Building
By the grace of God and the faithfulness of those who are giving to help eliminate the remaining debt on the children's building, we continue to make steady progress. To date we owe about $260,000 on the children's building.
THANK YOU for your faithful, sacrificial giving. I know that money is very tight for all of us. I get it. However, we are within reach of our goal of paying off the debt by October. As the Lord leads you, please give to help us realize the goal of eliminating the debt on the children's building.
Grateful to serve as your Pastor,
--John Hall, Pastor

Music Ministry
Summertime...And The Singing is Easy!
Join us this month for a relaxed time of rehearsal and fellowship at our Adult Worship Choir rehearsals. We are singing through the Top 10 anthems as voted by the choir. This is a perfect time for anyone who is interested in joining the choir. We will conclude each rehearsal with a time of fellowship and snacks. For the month of June we will meet from 6:35-7:30 p.m. in the choir room. I hope you will plan to join us!
Mark Your Calendars
Be sure to mark your calendars for this year's Living Christmas Tree. Presentations will be December 8, 9, and 10. Be watching for more details about our kick-off coming this fall. Be praying about how you might be involved in this year's presentation.

Cleburne Pregnancy Center "Baby Bottle Campaign"
Cleburne Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered, non-profit medical clinic that provides confidential services and resources to women (and men) facing unplanned pregnancies. Their free services include pregnancy tests, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, pre-natal and parenting classes, community resources and referrals, post abortion Bible Studies and much more!
CPC is currently involved in their annual "Baby Bottle Campaign" fundraiser. Baby bottles are provided at the church for families to fill with money (change, dollar bills and/or checks). We have plenty of bottles that you may pick one up at anytime. We will be collecting the bottles on June 25, and will deliver them to the center. You may deliver your bottle directly to the center if you wish.
You don't even have to have a bottle to donate. Go to their website,
www.careforcpc.com
