Ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Costa Rica with Praying Pelican Missions, networking with local churches,  serving in our community,  and connecting mission teams to  life- changing ministry opportunities.
Prepping in Prayer
We know that nothing happens without prayer!  This past week, we as the Costa Rican staff have been spending time in prayer for our local pastors, the teams coming to minister here, the local churches, our staff, and every detail of every trip.  Starting this week and over the next 10 weeks we will be leading 24 different trips.  This is a huge endeavor. Yet, we have done all that we can.  All that is left is for us to be spiritually prepared and watch God take over!

Our local church pastors and partnerships are so excited to have their teams come in from the USA and Canada this summer.  We know that God is going to encourage the local pastor, build up the local church, see broken hearts mended, see the lost come to salvation through Jesus Christ, and so much more!

This past month our local Trip Leaders have been making visits to meet with our local pastors and run through every detail of the trip.  We have been so excited to see this happen.  This is a much needed step as we seek to pass off leadership to our local staff.  They did an amazing job loving on the pastors and their leadership teams, as well as painting a clear picture of the vision of Praying Pelican Missions.

Nate will personally be leading 6 of the 24 trips this summer, although his first trip isn't until June 24-30 with Grace Summit Church from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Until then, Nate will be helping to set up our local Trip Leaders for success as they step out on their own.

Would you set these next 10 weeks on your prayer list?  We are expecting God to move all over Costa Rica and also work in and through each of the 522 missionaries coming to serve!
"This one is going in my War Room"
We truly have an amazing team of supporters!  Here's a snapshot of one of them:

As soon as I read John's comment about this postcard going into his "War Room" I literally lost it.  I was sitting in my bed and I broke out in tears.  Why?  Because I know that John represents a great number of people who truly support us in prayer.  Knowing that John was lifting us up before the Lord in his own prayer closet made me feel so honored and supported.

To all of our Prayer Warriors out there spending time lifting us up in prayer... THANK YOU so much!  It means more than you will ever know!

A week ago on Friday, we had our monthly staff gathering at our house in Costa Rica.  About 15 of our staff gathered to eat good food, worship, and hang out together.  Just a day before our gathering, I felt God show me that we need to spend time preparing spiritually before we embark on [...]...

I took my first solo mission trip when I was 18 years old.  I was a freshman in college and received an advertisement in the mail from Teen Mania Ministries, known for their "Acquire The Fire" youth conferences.  It was going to be a week long trip to Acapulco, Mexico over Christmas vacation. I knew I [...]...ยป
