What is TALKING POINTS?
TALKING POINTS is an outreach program to current and future JAC  members to discuss our core issues -- US-Israel relationship, women's reproductive rights and the separation of religion and state -- and related current events.

Your first session is on us.  If you like it and think it's worthwhile, please join JAC and come again!

We look forward to your participation.
DAN GROSS

Dan Gross is president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. He has been one of the foremost leaders in the gun violence prevention movement, having co-founded and directed the Center to Prevent Youth Violence (formerly PAX) after his brother was severely wounded in a shooting at the Empire State Building in February 1997.

Dan was a close friend of Jim and Sarah Brady who were role models for what passion, perseverance, and sustained public engagement can accomplish, and he is honored they entrusted him to carry their work into the future.

Under Dan's leadership, Brady has announced the bold goal to cut the number of U.S. gun deaths in half by 2025, based on an innovative and exciting strategy that centers on the idea of keeping guns out of the wrong hands through impact-driven and broadly engaging public action campaigns

Dan's work has been widely acclaimed and honored by organizations and individuals across the political spectrum. He served on former Vice President Joe Biden's gun violence prevent task force, and has been featured at the Aspen Ideas Festival. He was also awarded the prestigious Next Generation Leadership Fellowship by the Rockefeller Foundation. A highly regarded, dynamic and engaging speaker, Dan has been a leading spokesman for the gun violence prevention movement.

Joint Action Committee for Political Affairs (JACPAC) is the thinking person's PAC. JACPAC contributes to candidates for the United States Congress who support a strong United States-Israel relationship, reproductive choice, and separation of religion and state.  In addition to providing financial support for US Senate and House campaigns, JACPAC maintains an ongoing dialogue with those we help elect. The combination of campaign donations and advocacy yields billions of dollars in aid to Israel plus federal support for local Jewish institutions and programs.  JACPAC promotes social policies consistent with the priorities of the American Jewish community and enlists its participation in advocacy with elected officials.
