Muslim environmental activists, 2017 Washington DC People's Climate March

Grove Harris represented the Temple of Understanding at the April 29 Climate March in D.C. as part of the Interfaith Groups mobilization for People's Climate Marches. Overall, more than 200,000 gathered in Washington DC and millions joined in over 375 marches around the globe, all standing up in concern for our climate and against regressive politics.

Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change

This panel and discussion was held on April 26 during the 2017 United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNFPII) . It featured Chase Iron Eyes (Standing Rock Sioux) of Lakota People's Law Project; Mindahi Crescencio Bastida Muñoz (Otomi) of Otomi-Hñahñu Regional Council, Mexico; T?wera Tahuri (Maori: Nga Ariki Kaiputahi) of Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples; and Naomi Lanoi (Masaai), Human Rights Advocate.
