LET’s MAKE EXERCISE AN ACT OF WORSHIP

Do you sweat everyday with Jesus? What about “ CROSS train?” Do you dance before the Lord like David did?  Are you ready to start thinking WELLNESS instead of Illness?

God inspired me almost two years ago to share my love for exercise by forming a group called Faith Fitness and Fellowship.

Even though I am not a certified personal trainer, I have acquired a vast amount of knowledge over the past 25 years pertaining to using proper form and intensity.

Most of the choreography I base our workouts on are derived from videos streaming over YouTube, and focus on easy to follow dance fitness routines and weight training.  There are also times where I will set up 6-8 stations each with a designated exercise to perform before moving on to the next one.

Typically, our time together begins with a few moments for prayer/devotion, and a warm up. Then, we continue to get our heart rates up and muscles warm for another 30-40 minutes before cooling down and stretching. The music I select is upbeat, fun and most importantly uplifting. You will leave class feeling stronger both physically and spiritually and a bit sweaty too.

We meet every Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church, 105 Genesee Street in New Hartford.

I encourage you to give Faith Fitness and Fellowship a try, even if it has been a while since you worked out, or you don't feel coordinated enough. I demonstrate modifications for a lot of the moves. Always remember, as long as you are moving, you are heading in the right direction towards wellness. Come join us. BRING A FRIEND and set the tone for your week with a great workout and a little worship. Remember goals are met with consistent daily choices. Questions? Please call Cathy Garrabrant @ 315-534-8437

“God created it. Jesus died for it. The spirit lives in it.
I'd better take care of it.”
YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Requirements: Sneakers, water and the desire to feel joy!
Optional: Towel, mat and light hand weights.

Mohawk District,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing on behalf of Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, NY. Over the course of the past few years the church has started a warm clothing giveaway ministry where we collect donated items (coats, blankets, socks, hats, gloves, etc.) and distribute them in downtown Utica. It warms my heart to see the joy on people’s faces by being able to provide them a warm jacket or blanket.

On November 9 th we were able to serve over 100 people at our most recent give away and yet the need was so great we had to turn people away. We are looking for assistance with our ministry and are asking you and the members of your congregation to consider setting up a donation bin for such items . These items can be collected from your church or delivered to Trinity UMC.
