The baptized are strengthened for the living of these days in word and sacrament. The baptized rally around the invitation of the apostle: "Brothers and sisters, do not be weary in doing what is right."

Operation Christmas Child

Advent is partnering with churches around the world to reach children worldwide with shoeboxes of love. Operation Christmas Child
(http://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child) sends shoeboxes filled with gifts to needy children around the world. These shoeboxes are sent along with Bible study materials to bring the Good News and the Gift of Jesus Christ to these children. In 2018, Advent members donated 18 filled shoe boxes, which were shipped to Burundi. Please bring in your packed shoeboxes by Sunday, November 24th. Please include a donation of $9.00 for each shoebox to pay for shipping. Please also consider donating $6.00 to pay for Bible study materials for 1 child. If you wish to donate cash or checks (Made out to Advent Lutheran Church), they may go in the offering in an envelope designated for “OCC Shoeboxes”. If you have any questions, please contact Allan MacDonald at allanmac00@gmail.com or 614-563-4717. Thank you for your gift of love!
