These are not trick  questions: Would you like to spend less time deciding what to wear, less time looking for the things you need, and less money buying THINGS in the first place? Would you like to have more time and money to achieve your goals and pursue your dreams?

Answering "yes" to all sounds like a treat to us! If you are looking for the tricks to meeting all these goals, treat yourself to Joshua Becker's  book, The Minimalist Home. Becker provides the system and tools needed to accomplish these goals and more. H is book is a must-read  for anyone who seeks to live more lightly on the planet.

There's nothing to fear when it comes to living with less. Becker encourages readers to sell, donate, and recycle as many items as possible. However, he acknowledges that some things will end up heading to a landfill. Now that's scary! But Becker suggests, "Let your regret about how much you have to throw away reinforce your determination not to buy so much in the future." We share his sentiment and more about Becker's book below.

There are a few tricks to good communication and education and we would love to share ours with you. Please give me a call or email me so we can help you encourage your community to live with less. Hearing from you would be a real treat for me! Wishing you a safe and Happy Halloween!

Keep on reducing, reusing, and recycling~

The Trick to Living with Less
"Minimalism is a means to a bigger life, not a smaller one."

This quote from Joshua Becker is a good summary of the points he makes in his book, The Minimalist Home. In the book, minimalism is defined as "the intentional promotion of things we most value and the removal of anything that distracts us from them."

Becker differentiates minimalism from organization. If you organize your possessions, you will eventually deal with those items again. If you minimize, then some items leave your house forever; you will not have to think about them again.  The author believes,  "there is more joy to be found in owning less than we can ever find in accumulating more."

Nothing  spooky about that sentiment! Treat yourself to  our full book review .
