LA COUNTY BUILDING CODE UPDATE
|
|
The Building and Safety Division of Public Works will conduct a meeting on proposed amendments to the new 2019 State Codes, including County of Los Angeles amendments. These drafts are subject to change based on comments received and ongoing review by this and other County departments. Many of the local amendments to the Code are based on the model language generated by the International Code Council Los Angeles Basin Chapter (ICC-LABC), which has the support of many local jurisdictions. The ICC-LABC program's goal is to provide consistency in Code language and interpretation within the Los Angeles County area. These local jurisdiction amendments are structured to be consistent with the 2019 State Code provisions.
