Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday…celebrated by all, good food, great friends, and family. Please take the time to relax, count your many blessings, and appreciate all of the amazing people we get to work with and care for every day. A special thanks to those of you working this holiday.

Thank you for all you do – living our values and fulfilling our mission.

OBGYN Wellness Initiatives: Holiday Mitten Tree
This holiday season, the department has a “Mitten Tree” benefiting the Delonis Center and the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County.
A Mitten Tree is a fun way to collect winter items for those in need. The tree is located outside the mailroom and research office (L4100) on the 4th floor of UH South. It is decorated with cards for new adult gloves, hats or socks. You can take a card or two off the tree, and when you have purchased the item(s), you can hang them back on the tree to replace the card you took. Let’s fill this tree with winter items!
Please bring in all items by Friday, December 20, for us to take to the Delonis Center before the holiday!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming up! This is a great opportunity to pick up a few extra things that are “deals” to help support this initiative!

For more information about the Delonis Center and the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, please visit annarborshelter.org.
93rd Annual Galens Tag Days
Once again this year we are competing with other departments at Michigan Medicine to help support Galens Tag Days, a fundraiser held by Michigan Medical students for the past 93 years! Last year, Tag Days raised over $80,000 for children’s charities that support the health and wellbeing of children in Washtenaw County.

Our department is the two-time defending champion - raising $1416 in 2017 and $1531 in 2018!
Need to Purchase Your Tag? Stop by to see Kelly Berch (floor 2), Danielle Wilson (floor 3), Natalie Gulau (4th floor), or Marlene Woodard (5th floor). Any donation is welcome (cash or check made out to Galens Medical Society).

Make sure you buy your tags from someone in our department and don't forget to proudly display your tag on your jacket and make sure to wear it during Tag Days, December 5-7th.
Have something to include in our next newsletter?
