Here are the top 3 things to know this week:
Pastor's Note: The Presumption of (Self) Righteousness
"Everyone sins a little, but most people are good by nature." 52% of those surveyed last year agreed. This sentiment is not unlike what the Israelites felt about themselves when it came to receiving the gift of the promised land. Moses addresses this question head-on in Deuteronomy 9:6....

Nominating Committee Nominations

The TCC Board is currently initiating the nomination process in preparation for our January 2020 Annual Congregational Meeting. The first step is to form the Nominating Committee. As a reminder, per the by-laws, the Nominating Committee includes the Senior Pastor, Moderator and one other Board member as well as four members from the congregation. We are seeking recommendations for four members from the congregation who will join the Senior Pastor, the Moderator and a Board member on that Committee.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating members of the congregation to fill all open and elected positions at the Annual Meeting. This year, there are openings for all officer positions (Moderator, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Clerk), which are one-year terms. The Board has 2 vacancies, the Deacons have 4 vacancies, and Finance has 2 vacancies, all of which are 3 year terms.

Please contact any Board member to suggest potential Nominating Committee nominees. We are eager to hear from you!

Together in Christ,
The TCC Board
Asa Foster (Moderator), Tom Petter, (Senior Pastor), Peter Armstrong, Marty Bodley, Nickaela Fiore-Keyes, Emose Piou, Amy Scott and Dan Williams

November 3rd is Bible Distribution Sunday!

During our First Sunday Together on November 3rd at 9:30A the first and second grade children receive their Bibles. When you arrive at church, please check-in all your children, pickup name tags, escort infant-preschool children to their rooms, and bring K-5 children to the sanctuary.

Following the Bible presentation, kindergartners and 1st graders will be dismissed first to the Parlor with their small group leaders. Once the younger children have left, the 2nd-5th graders will be dismissed to the Lobby to connect with their small group leaders. Pick up at the end of service is the same as usual.
Operation Christmas Child

This Holiday season our whole church will participate in “Operation Christmas Child,” a program run by Samaritan’s Purse. Through the power of simple shoebox gifts, children experience God’s love and the Good News of the Gospel. To participate, see the OCC display in the Lobby. Once assembled, please drop off your shoebox gifts to the children’s ministry check-in desk by Sunday, November 24th. This is a wonderful project to do as a family this Christmas Season!
