Abubakarr, miracle boy
You may remember reading about CRC student Abubakarr, who was badly burned in a motorcycle accident in 2016. The October mission team had the opportunity to spend time with Abubakarr and his family, and were amazed by how much progress he has made in his long journey of healing.

You can read Abubakarr's story in our Fall 2019 magazine, plus:
  • CRC alumnus Amadu Sandy's success story
  • A missioner's first person experience
  • Is there still a place for short term missions?
  • The state of health care in Sierra Leone
  • & more!
If you would you like us to mail you a copy of the Fall magazine, send your request with mailing address to: [email protected]
(US addresses only.)

The Year of the Lord’s Favor
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
