Dear St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Families,

Happy Parent Conference Day! I look forward to seeing many of you on campus today as we celebrate the achievements of your students during conferences. I want to take this opportunity to expand on one of our new events this year, the Mother/Son Dance which will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in our gym. ( The Father/Daughter dance will take place on January 25th. ) This is a tradition from my previous school that served as a great opportunity for mothers and sons to spend a fun evening together and get to know other families in our school. One of the ideas behind this event is teaching our boys how to be young gentlemen. My hope would be that parents would share some of those courtesies that have become a lost art: opening doors, pulling out chairs, serving a drink or snack, etc. This will be a free event, with light refreshments served. If a student’s mother is unable to attend, another special adult (such as an aunt, neighbor or family friend) is invited. Students are asked to dress as they would for church; jeans are permitted and even encouraged with our western theme. We will have a photo booth with our new St. Anthony backdrop. Please bring your phone to capture memories of this inaugural event. Our hope is that this becomes a St. Anthony tradition treasured for years to come! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or Heather Koett

Veronica Tucker

OCTOBER - ROSARY MONTH

The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary, and after the Mass, the Rosary is the most powerful prayer at our disposal. St. John Paul II often said that the Rosary is a prayer of peace, and he encouraged families to pray the Rosary together. Please sign up for a day that your family will pray the Rosary together.
