Project Problems? Try Rotary Ideas
The
Rotary Club of Montego Bay Sunrise in Jamaica was having problems raising money for a water and sanitation project at 11 schools in their country.
With the encouragement of their District Governor, Paul Brown, they submitted a project to
Rotary Ideas
where they were able to link up with the Rotary Club of Central Cayman Islands to get a Global Grant from The Rotary Foundation.
Read the story,
Try Rotary Ideas,
that was published in February 2017 issue of The Rotarian magazine.

Water Project Unites Lebanon Clubs
In 2011, Rotary members in northern Lebanon, with the assistance of The Rotary Foundation, installed a water filtration system in a few schools.
Now Rotary District 2452
has all 24 Rotary Clubs working together with the goal that "Every student has the right to clean water."
The Rotary organizers of the project know that clean water is the main objective, but they also saw the opportunity to work towards healing Lebanon's long history of sectarian strife.
Read
Water Project Unites Lebanon

The Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group (WASRAG) is pleased to consider partnerships with any corporate supporter. Due to the unique attributes of water sources and water provision, acceptance of corporate support does not imply an endorsement of any particular water technology. Rotarians, Rotary clubs, and Rotary partners must evaluate any technology to determine if it is the best solution for the conditions where the program will be implemented. WASRAG can provide guidance about where different technologies work best, but Rotarians and Rotary clubs must make the final decision about how to implement their programs.
