Interconnection Rules :
We’re celebrating a big victory this week! After 10 years of workshops, letters and testimonies, the ACC finally voted to approve new interconnection rules for solar, energy storage, and other distributed energy resources. These rules standardize the interconnection process across all utilities regulated by the ACC.  Check out the docket  to learn more, and  click here  to read the most recent letter submitted by AriSEIA and eight local solar companies regarding the rules. Hear AriSEIA Board Member Court Rich discuss this victory and more on KJZZ .

APS General Rate Case :
APS filed their new general rate case  today . AriSEIA has been in attendance at the rate case stakeholder meetings, and we look forward to participating and advocating throughout the process. Arizona Corporation Commission REST/Solar Postcard Campaign 
Solar United Neighbors and Vote Solar are helping Arizona residents create postcards that will be mailed to Arizona Corporation Commissioners in support of increasing the state's renewable energy goals.  Click here  to learn more, and we encourage you to share this initiative with your network!

Solar ITC Updates
Ramp-down updates : As we approach the end of the year, we want to give members some useful information regarding the Investment Tax Credit. Click here to learn more and to read SEIA’s factsheet on the ramp-down for residential systems.

Legislative Updates : Please contact your legislators, mayors, and local government officials and urge them to support an extension for Solar ITC. Earlier this month, over 200 mayors across the country signed a letter in support of an extension. Unfortunately, no Arizona leaders were included in this group. We can do better! Click here to take action and contact your representatives.

National Updates
Federal Legislation Will Streamline Solar Permitting, Grow Clean Energy Economy
The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and industry leaders commend U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-NM) and Susan Collins (R-ME) for introducing  the American Energy Opportunity Act , which will provide voluntary assistance and tools to local governments to simplify, standardize, and automate clean energy permitting for their residents and businesses while enhancing safety.
231 Mayors Ask Congress for Solar Tax Credit Extension
A group of 231 mayors from across the country sent a letter to Congress supporting the Renewable Energy Extension Act, a five-year extension of the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC).
Distributed Solar to Drive Global Renewable Growth 50% by 2024: IEA
Renewable energy's share of global power generation will rise from 26% today to 30% in 2024, according to new data from the International Energy Agency (IEA). Solar generation will make up almost 60% of renewables growth, with onshore wind representing 25%.
