Peachjar eFlyers

Last year, FVSD began utilizing an electronic flyer distribution system, Peachjar, in an effort to improve communication, ensure a strong link between home and school, and to enhance community support and involvement in our schools. Every school, the District Office, and outside organizations uses Peachjar to distribute district-approved e-flyers to families district wide .  We are excited about the addition of Peachjar and look forward to this means of communication! FACILITIES MASTER PLAN (FMP)

District staff, parents, Trustees, community leaders, and even students have worked together with LPA Architects, Inc. to create a detailed Facilities Master Plan (FMP).  The District's newly developed FMP identifies a vision for the next 10 to 15 years and provides a road map to coordinate short and long-range goals for our school buildings.

HIGHLIGHT: Board Honors Students and Parents from Fulton, Masuda and Talbert during Middle School Extravaganza!
Middle School Extravaganza
Each month, the Board honors students and volunteers from our schools, during their regular meeting, in an event that can only be described as an extravaganza!  Recently, family, friends and staff joined the Board in celebrating some of our amazing middle school students and thanking our dedicated volunteers.  From Fulton Middle School, the Board honored Adam Chohan (6th), Hope Svartstrom (6th), Kenzo Phillip Osmena (7th), Sarah Yoo (7th), Nam Vu (7th), and Hannah Robert (8th).  From Masuda Middle School, the Board honored Alina Cotociu (6th), Ethan H. Nguyen (6th), Natalie Tran (7th), Ian Bui (7th), Brooke Bonny (8th) and Roger Nguyen (8th). And from Talbert Middle School, the Board honored Molly Ehrlich (6th), Justin Lak (6th), Ani Vamvas (7th), Talha Bektas (7th), Connor Grudt (8th), and Jesse Ly (8th).

In addition, the Board thanked some special volunteers from our middle schools for their dedication to our students and staff.  From Fulton Middle School, the Board recognized and thanked Shauna Zukle and Karlyna Macey.  From Masuda Middle School, the Board recognized and thanked Crystal Abbott and Stephen Schwarz.  And from Talbert Middle School, the Board recognized and thanked Nicola Weiss and Laurey Yuro.

Prior to our recognitions, Cub Scout Pack 567 and Boy Scout Troop 567 did a wonderful job leading the Pledge of Allegiance.   It was a phenomenal evening, enjoyed by all, and a great celebration of our middle schools!  Just one more reason why #WeHeartFVSD!
SPOTLIGHT: CGI Demo Days in FVSD
CGI Demo Days
Throughout early March, our elementary teachers and principals continued the focus on collaborative learning during CGI/math demonstration lesson study.  Our very own FVSD teachers shared their instructional strategies with teachers from around the district, followed by an observation within their classrooms.  Upon completion of the demo lesson, the team discussed the various strategies that were used, in an effort to strengthen our math program across the district.  We are so fortunate to have an amazing group of teachers willing to open their classrooms in an effort to insure ALL students are successful in math.  Just one more reason why #WeHeartFVSD!
HIGHLIGHT: Fountain Valley Rotary Honors Students at Every Student Succeeding Breakfast
FV Rotary ESS
On March 6th, Fountain Valley Rotary celebrated one special student from each of our ten schools at the Every Student Succeeding breakfast.  These FVSD All-Stars were selected for displaying tremendous qualities of character and fortitude in overcoming difficult circumstances.  At the breakfast, each student was awarded a $500 scholarship by Rotarian Dave Osborn and the Kelly Osborn Memorial Foundation.  This is the twelfth year that Mr. Osborn has presented these awards and we are grateful to him, the Kelly Osborn Memorial Foundation and FV Rotary for the opportunity to celebrate some very special students.  For more photos from the morning, please click here.
