March for Our Lives-To End Gun Violence, March 24, 2018

"March For Our Lives" is created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar." Some of our St. James's families have expressed an interest to participate in the march in either Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA on Saturday, March 24. Here is information to support your desire to engage in this courageous and worthy effort.

The Rev. Carmen Germino ([email protected] 203-314-3647) and the Rev. Hilary Streever ([email protected] 276-451-8809) plan to attend the March in Richmond to support our young people and this effort. If you'd like to rendezvous and march together, please email them in advance or text both of them on Saturday. Also, be on the look-out for Bishop Shannon Johnston and other members of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia staff. You can also post of the St. James's Youth Ministry Facebook page to coordinate with other St. Jamesers about the marches. I unfortunately will be out of town for a family funeral, but I will be marching with you in spirit!
