Sunday Morning Worship
Sunday, October 6, 11:00 AM
Our Worship Theme in October is Belonging
The Blessing of the Animals
Rev. Robert Hudder preaching
We All Belong to Each Other
Catholic priest and scientist, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, once wrote: "There exists in all beings a common centre" through which "they meet together at a deeper level … and we may call this Centre equally well the
point upon which they converge, or the
ambience in which they float … " This bond of unity constitutes the "
axis of all individual and collective life." In other words, all life is One! As we gather to Bless our Pets, we will reflect together on our deep connections to the wider world, to all the plants and animals, and to all people.
Please come early to move chairs to the Square before and put away after.

New Member Spotlight
Evely Shoepf
Originally from Kansas, Evie, as she prefers to be known, lived in Atlanta in the 90’s and raised a family while working in Real Estate, Oil and Gas, Interior Design and Air bnbs. After divorce she had an ‘eat, pray, love’ experience, travelling internationally and growing. Her three grown children have blessed her with six grandchildren. Recently moved to Savannah and having had encouraging experience of the Athens congregation, she is very happy to attend this historical and loving church.
Please welcome Evie.

Virtual Service Fundraiser
This will be
the premier Fall fundraising event
for our self-sustaining congregation: a tradition shared by UU congregations worldwide. This year in light of the Rahn Hall renovation we will host a virtual service offering. Because services will be offered at ‘buy now’ prices, this is not an auction.
Please add your skill offering to these early entrants:
Handyman, MS Excel training, a Wise Woman talk, pet or people portrait, meals of various kinds, wreath making, pop-up card workshop, overnight stays in other places, and much more to come
(especially if you contribute!)
