Davee Gunn
Principal & Managing Director, Prime Quadrant

Davee is Principal & Managing Director at Prime Quadrant and a veteran of the securities industry in Canada having held a number of senior executive positions over the past 30+ years. Prior to joining Prime Quadrant, Davee was President & CEO of Hahn Investment Stewards & Company Inc. (acquired by Industrial Alliance in 2013). Davee started her career at Richardson Securities, subsequently served as an officer, director and shareholder of Yorkton Securities, then co-founded Allied Canadian Development Corporation in 1988, a diversified real estate corporation that engages in the acquisition and development of commercial properties in Canada – Allied Properties REIT (TSX:AP.UN). Prior to Hahn, she was Vice Chair of Abria Financial Group, a firm recognized as a leader in the alternative investment business in Canada. Davee has served on the Education Committee and as an instructor for the Canadian Securities Institute, the Sales Practices Committee of the Canadian Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and is frequently cited for her education-based approach in the investment community. She is the past co-Chair and member of the board of Shalom Village, a Long Term Care Organization affiliated with McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences and was actively involved in the $3 million capital campaign for Rose Cherry’s Home – now the Darling Home for Kids.

Jeannine LiChong
Executive Vice President & Portfolio Manager, Waratah

Jeannine joined Waratah Capital Advisors in 2018 after a successful 22-year career at a Canadian money manager. She is a shareholder and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Jeannine is a Portfolio Manager for the Waratah Income Fund and is on the Summerhill Resorts Ltd. Investment Committee. In her previous role, she was an Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager in Canadian Equities, responsible for managing $2.6 billion, and a member of both its Management and Asset Mix Committees. Early in her career, she was in the management training program at Canadian Pacific, and also worked at Deloitte. She is currently a trustee of the Toronto Symphony Foundation and is a past board member of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Jeannine received an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo, and also holds CPA, CA, and CFA designations. Waratah Capital Advisors is a Toronto based alternative asset management company, focused on protecting capital by generating returns with low volatility that avoid major drawdowns. Waratah currently manages $1.5 billion in assets for Canadian and global high net worth families, foundations and institutional investors.

Louise Pitt Brindle
Head of Research, RPIA

Louise brings to the firm a deep expertise in analyzing global financial institutions. She spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs in London and New York and had been a Managing Director there since 2005. Covering Global Financial Institutions both from the publishing and desk analyst perspective, she has a specialty in European Financials, which she began covering in 1998. Louise began her career in London at JP Morgan in a trading and research role, moving to Credit Suisse First Boston after 4 years as the Senior Analyst covering European Financial institutions. She is one of the most respected analysts in her field among issuers and investors globally and will continue to cover these sectors at RPIA, in addition to overseeing four credit analysts who make up RPIA's research team. Louise is a British citizen and has a B.A. (Hons) degree in Hispanic and Latin American Studies from the University of Bristol. She is Chair of the Board of Music for Autism in the US and is also a member of the Advisory Board of the IBP Institute.

Julie Cowan
Managing Director, Scotiabank

As a seasoned capital markets professional with over 20 years of experience, Julie has held a number of client-facing and people management roles. Julie’s sales and management experience spans the UK, Europe, and Canada, including multi-asset derivatives, prime services and financing products. Client responsibilities have included pension plans, hedge funds, wealth managers, banks, and corporates. Julie was the Co-Chair of True Patriot Love’s all-female Baffin Island Expedition (2019), is on the Toronto Committee of 100WF and previously chaired WCM’s Mentorship Program as well as Scotiabank’s GBM Mentorship Program. Julie holds the CFA designation, an MBA from London Business School and an Honours BA (Co-Op, Economics) from the University of Waterloo.
