If You Can Only Do One Thing Today, Do That.
But if You Can Do Two, Register to Vote .
Voting is one way we express ourselves as a community, as voters and Americans, but to exercise this basic right, we must be registered to vote!

Did you know?
  • In some cases, you may need to register 30 days before you can actually vote.
  • If you turned 18 recently, you can vote if you are registered.
  • Recently moved? You will need to update your voter registration.

With election day quickly approaching, we encourage all residents to register and take part in this fundamental cornerstone of democracy. Register online or stop by the Gilroy Library on Tuesday, September 25th. Representatives will be at Main Library from 1pm-9pm to help Gilroy residents get registered to vote.

Flooding can be an emotionally and financially devastating event. Just one inch of water can cause $25,000 in damage to your home. Most homeowners’ and renters’ insurance does not cover flood damage.  Find out if you live in a flood prone area and how flood insurance can lessen the cost to your family.

Citywide Historic Resource Inventory Survey is Underway
Through the week of 9/17 and 9/24, the Dudek survey team will be starting its Citywide Survey in the historic Monterey Street Downtown District (from approximately 4th Street to Old Gilroy Street). In addition, the survey team will be field-checking many of the existing HRI properties in the surrounding residential neighborhood.

Concurrently, they will have a separate survey team working in a 1960s-1970s residential pocket in the southwestern part of the City from approximately Uvas Park Dr. to the south to Montebello Drive to the north.

Surveyors will wear orange safety vests with DUDEK clearly labeled on the back.

For more information on this project, check out our project page where you can get involved and provide our team with valuable information about Gilroy's history through our "Stories of Gilroy's Past" tool and hidden gems map.
