Here's what's happening in Church School this Sunday, September 23rd:
Preschool I and II
Preschool students learn about the Eucharist. What is the special plate we use? What do we call the special cup we use in church?
PreKindergarten
PreKindergarten begin learning about baptism. Have you been baptized? Do you have to be a baby to be baptized?
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students learn about the special meal we share as a church family, the Eucharist.
First Grade
First grade students continue learning Bible Stories. This week they discuss the story of Noah and make a page for their Bible Binders.
Second Grade
Second grade students continue learning about people from the Old Testament as part of their Jesse Tree project. This week they learn about Noah and make another ornament to add to their wreaths.
Third Grade
Third grade students discuss the Parable of the Lost Sheep and make a page for their Parable Folders.
Fourth and Fifth Grades
Fourth and fifth grade students learn about Cain and Abel and the importance of forgiveness. Remember the prayer cookie dough from the first week of Church School? This week's snacks will be the cookies made from that dough and devil's food cupcakes.
Reminder: Next week, September 30th, is St. Michael's Sunday and there will be no Church School. Instead, join us for a special family service in the church and lunch served outside along Ellenwood.
