September 21, 2018

Hi all,
I'll continue the theme from last week and share with you an example from another workplace, a meat-packing plant. What? -- You don't think that a school building has anything in common with a meat-packing plant?! You might be wrong. A group of workers decided they had had enough with their bullying supervisors and they decided to do something about it. You could do that too.

As educators, we are often in the position of teaching young people how to deal with, and to stop bullying in their world. Those same tactics can be used with adults, you know. To solve the problem, all it takes is some UP-standers (not by-standers) and the belief that "a harm to one is a harm to all." And some planning really helps. We can help you plan.

Read about the meat-packers here. I wonder if they used some strategies that YOU could employ in your workplace?

Peace, yes, let's have PEACE!
