We Agreed To Keep PADS Going...
Now We Need Your Help!

We are in great need of volunteers to help do the bedding laundry for our PADS guests September-May.
Just pick up a couple of bags from Peace on Thursday and return it before Wednesday night. Only two loads of laundry a week for one month! Easy to do and your help would be greatly appreciated. Contact Char Johnson: [email protected], call 630.212.2242 or sign up in the Lobby this Sunday to be put on the schedule this year.

Sunday is "Freedom Sunday"
FREEDOM SUNDAY
Sunday is Freedom  Sunday. Did you know that there are an estimated 45 Million slaves in our world today!! No other time in history have so many people been subjected to the injustices that slavery causes. The main cause for this problem is greed and violence. Those who are the most vulnerable are trapped by those who have power and/or who are willing to resort to violence in order to subdue the men, women and children they want to entrap. Because this problem is so rampant in our world, it is a safe bet that products we use every day have an element of slavery somewhere in the chain before they arrive to us. This is a sad reality!  This should encourage all of us to be more aware of the products we purchase and to remember that if it costs you next to nothing, it is probably costing someone else dearly. Darlene Miele will share more with us this Sunday during the Mission Moment, and will have more information out in the Lobby.
