When we look at how far we've come from just a few years ago, I could not be more proud. This first nine-week quarter of the 2019-2020 school year has really gone very well.

This week I am at the National Institute of School Leaders conference. I will likely be surrounded by colleagues who are more talented than me, and leaders I will learn from. But none of them can tell me that they love their school more than I love mine. And, for me, that's everything!

With Phoenix Pride,

Mr. Doug Loftus

In the News!
Principal Loftus, his daughter Emily who coaches at Dr. Phillips High School, and AEHS teacher/coach Cole Trimble all made the news this past week - Orlando Sentinel (Sept. 27) - "Dr. Phillips tops West Orange in tight match for coaches who are longtime friends" - a great success story!

Motivational Moment
WHAT KINDNESS LOOKS LIKE (SGT. RINEHART)

Narelys Negron has been walking to school every day as well as to work. She had no transportation and was worried about her safety arriving at home late in the evening near 11 o'clock. Knowing of her story, Sergeant Rinehart, our school resource officer, took it upon himself to find a bicycle for her. Not only did he get her a bike, but he also purchased a state of the art helmet with reflectors and other accessories. Narelys was totally overwhelmed and very grateful. Thank you Sgt. Rinehart for your kindness!
