Episcopal Schools Celebration: October 7
Episcopal Schools Celebration celebrates the ministry of the nearly 1,200 Episcopal schools and early childhood education programs throughout the Episcopal Church. Whether it is at school, the parish or cathedral or at a diocesan-wide service or event, ESC is the time to give thanks and to proclaim to your community and the Church the good news that is your school! Stu Work, Interim Head of St. John's School will give an address in place of the sermon that Sunday.

Sandwich Sunday Hosts Needed
We are in need of Sandwich Sunday hosts on November 18. Hosting includes shopping for supplies, coordinating sandwich preparation on the day-of, and delivering the meals to Faith Cafe. Costs are reimbursed by the parish. Contact Cindy Martin at [email protected] if you can help.
Adult Christian Formation
Sunday Adult Formation Resumes
The Sunday Adult Formation group will begin meeting again on Sunday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lowry Room.  Paul and Margaret Brokaw will share some experiences from their recent trip to the Holy Land.  If you have already made this life-changing pilgrimage, have it on your "Bucket List," or would just like to hear the story, bring your coffee and join us for a lively discussion between services. Koine Greek Class Starting Soon
If it's all Greek to you, why not join us for a class in Koine Greek, the language of the New Testament?  The class  will  meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. beginning September 25 and ending November 13 (eight weeks). Women's Mid Morning Bible Study
The Women's Mid Morning Bible Study will study Exodus this fall, using Interpretation Bible Studies' guide Exodus by James D. Newsome. They invite all women of St. John's and their friends to join them as they explore God's redemptive and merciful activity in some of the most unforgettable stories in the Old Testament.

The group will meet on alternate Tuesdays from 9:45 to 11:00 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary. Deacon Kathleen Moore will guide the study of Exodus 14:1-31, "The Miracle at the Red Sea," on Tuesday, October 2.
