Preparing Each Student for a Successful Future

As a reminder, the Staff Communicator will be distributed each Thursday that we are in session, and two summer issues are also distributed. Archived copies can be found on the "Communications Department" web page.
Employee Surveys Close November 17!
We've asked parents for their input...now it's time to hear from our employee team! As in years past, we are asking for approximately 10 minutes of your time to complete a survey. The best way to gather targeted feedback to meet the needs of all employees is to distribute three different surveys:

  • Certified employee survey
  • Classified employee survey (for all classified staff EXCEPT for food service & custodial)
  • Food service and custodial employee survey (created because these 2 departments have an additional layer of management that other departments do not have.)
Because there are three surveys this year, please be sure to select the correct link and complete the appropriate survey that coincides with your position in the district. Please pay close attention to the directions at the top of the survey.

These surveys will be open November 6-17 at midnight and are 100% anonymous. Thank you in advance!

HR Portal Only Available On District Network
REMINDER: The district SISFin Portal (HR information, requisition portal, etc.) is being replaced due to hardware age. Therefore, we will not have access to this portal on computers/devices outside of the district network until this is updated. However, it will still be accessible while on campus only using the following link: http://sishr.srv.rsd/hrportal. Once the replacement is complete, off-site access will be restored.
CSIP Update

The Republic School District completed year three (2018-2019) of a five year Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP). The CSIP was developed during the 2015-2016 school year with input from over 1,000 community members and parents via survey. More than 120 people participated in goal teams to narrow the focus and provide sufficient direction for the District. Each year the District reports progress to the Board of Education and the following items were highlighted during the October academic updates presentation to the Board of Education. The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan can be viewed by clicking here.
  • REPMO Ready technology initiative has been fully implemented
  • CSIP academic measures continue to improve
  • Leadership, goal setting, and positive behavior support are strengths
  • Career exploration is a strength across the District K-12
  • Student interventions are helping students persist to graduation
  • Improved measures are needed for project based learning and blended learning
  • Student subgroup attendance just missed the goal of 94% in secondary schools

Shop with a Hero Jeans Days
Each year approximately 120 Republic students have the opportunity to "Shop with a Hero" thanks to the Republic Police Department, Republic Fire Department and many other local emergency personnel. Because of donor funds these students in need will get to choose holiday gift items with their "hero." This year that event will take place on December 10 at our local Walmart. We'd like to provide an opportunity to you to donate to this awesome cause by participating in a jeans day available every Tuesday between November 12 and December 3.  Simply bring any donation amount you would like to your school/department office to participate. Employees can do one donation up front or donate each week.

OTC Republic Campus Partnership
During the past year the Republic School District has been working with Ozarks Technical Community College to further academic partnerships which provide new learning options to Republic High School students. Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, high school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to access college level courses through OTC Republic. The District currently has a partnership with the OTC Springfield Campus and these options will remain, while further opportunities are established with OTC Republic. RHS students and parents should expect to see additional communication and details in December and January as students begin scheduling for the 2020-2021 school year in January.
