Apple Picking with Global Engagement

Global Engagement will be going to Lynd Fruit Farm to pick apples on Sunday, September 30. The deadline to register is September 24, at 11:59 p.m. Keep in mind that space is limited, so sign up ASAP! Plan to meet at the Ohio Union bus turnaround (on 12th Avenue) at 10:45 a.m. and to return by 4 p.m. We will provide a number of bags for students to share, however, plan on bringing money to enjoy some delicious treats from Lynd Fruit Farm.

International Photography Competition

The Office of International Affairs sponsors an annual international photography competition open to all Ohio State students, faculty, staff, visiting scholars and alumni. All submitted entries must have been taken outside the United States. The deadline is October 8 at 12 p.m.

Buckeyes Talk Application

Buckeyes Talk is a talk show that brings Buckeyes from different countries, origins or backgrounds together to share their ideas and different perspectives about certain topics. Watch the first episode to learn more. They are currently looking for students to join their cast. If you love to talk, share your culture and learn from others, apply today.

Global Engagement Night

Global Engagement Night invites international and domestic students to participate in cross-cultural discussions about different regions of the world and share their thoughts on topics affecting all college students. Global Engagement Night takes place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building. The next Global Engagement Night will be on September 18, and the topic of discussion will be France. Snacks will be provided!

Global Engagement Film Series: Montparnasse Bienvenue

The next film will be French drama, Montparnasse Bienvenue, and it will be shown on Wednesday, September 26 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center. Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because the first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda! Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public. Contact Renée Bishai with questions.

Join The English Conversation Program

International and American students have the opportunity to expand their worldviews, improve their intercultural communication skills and make friends from different cultural backgrounds. Students will be put in groups of five or six based on their availability and diversity of background to meet throughout the semester for the purpose of having great conversations and experiences.

Come check out the Global Engagement team at Counseling and Consultation Service's Recess. Recess is a fun event where we encourage you to take a break, play and relax. Registration is not required. Just show up and bring your friends to join in on the fun! Recess is on Wednesday, October 3, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the South Oval.

BuckeyePass to Protect Carmen Beginning October 11

Ohio State will soon be expanding its use of multi-factor authentication, to increase the level of protection that prevents unauthorized individuals from accessing your information. Beginning October 11, during fall break, BuckeyePass will be enabled for Carmen. It is recommended that you register at least two devices with BuckeyePass.

Preparing Effective Papers

This workshop will be on September 19, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building and will help students with the most common writing assignments at the undergraduate level, including short and long research papers, essays, and response papers. Register.

Hot Pot and Hot Topics

The English Conversation Program (ECP) and the Cultural Ambassadors for Resident Enrichment (CARE) have partnered up to offer Hot Pot and Hot Topics. All are welcome to eat hot pot, discuss some hot topics and make new friends. The events are free and will take place September 19, October 3, 17 and 31 and November 14, from 6 8 p.m. in the Morrill Tower Kitchen. Space is limited.
