Clay County invites members to visit the Purchasing Department at www.claycountymo.gov/purchasing for all documents and instructions relevant to these current opportunities. Thank you for considering doing business with Clay County!
It's that time of year when we get to bless our friends and neighbors that need help during Thanksgiving and Christmas with putting a holiday meal on their families table.

We are excited to share some news!
A generous donor has offered $25,000 in matching funds to support the Kearney Food Pantry. We need to raise $25,000 in donations by December 15. With your support, the pantry would receive $ 50,000 to use toward a “Forever Home” and be able to continue meeting the increasing demands for nutritious food for families, homeless youth and senior citizens who do not have enough to eat.

What a wonderful opportunity to “ Double your Donation” by contributing to this matching campaign. It's not every day an offer like this comes along.  Please consider maximizing your donation by contributing to this exciting opportunity before December 15th.

We can not do this without your help. Please help us by spreading the word of this opportunity to help our community.

Liberty Hospital Recognized with an ‘A’ for Patient Safety in Fall 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade

Liberty Hospital has been recognized for its dedication to patient safety by being awarded an ‘A’ grade in the Fall 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade , which rates how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections within the hospital.

“Patient safety is our priority, and Liberty Hospital is honored to be recognized for the dedication of our physicians and staff to keeping our patients safe,” said President and CEO David Feess. “This award is one of the highest possible for a hospital, and Liberty Hospital works tenaciously to protect our patients as we provide high-quality care.”

The Hospital Safety Grade is compiled under the guidance of leading patient safety experts and administered by The Leapfrog Group , a national, nonprofit hospital safety watchdog. The score is free to the public and designed to give consumers information they can use to inform themselves and their families when facing a hospital stay. More than 2,600 acute-care hospitals in the U.S. are graded twice each year, and grades are based on the review of 28 safety measures.

“’A’ hospitals show us their leadership is protecting patients from preventable medical harm and error,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “It takes genuine commitment at every level – from clinicians to administrators to the board of directors – and we congratulate the teams who have worked so hard to earn this A.”
Are you ready for the holidays?

I have an offer that might make it less stressful for you and your loved ones.

Beginning November 1 st  to December 1 st 1440 Concierge   will be offering a holiday special.  You can give yourself or a loved one an extra three hours of time.  If you’re wondering what three extra hours of time could mean to you during the holiday frenzy, think holiday shopping and gift ideas; home organization before the family arrives, getting holiday cards mailed, gift wrapping, and day-of event prep and coordination.   We do it, so you don’t have to .  And if you need something not listed on our list (click  here  to be taken to the list on our website), please contact us so we can whip up a proposal for you.

The Elf Package details:
1. They will be on sale beginning November 4 th , and will end December 1 st .
2. $90 for 3 consecutive hours to delegate your tasks and enjoy some free time!
3. They must be used between October 29 th  to January 17 th , 2020.
4. No long-term commitment required.
5. They can be gifted or kept for yourself.
6. They can only be used Monday through Friday.
7.  If weekends are requested there will be an additional charge of $25 at start of service.
8. All three hours must be used consecutively.

If you know someone who can use a few extra hours in a day this would make a great gift.

Also, keep an eye out for our gift-wrapping events.  We will be, hopefully, setting up in various locations in the Northland.  If you run a small office and want to give your employees a perk, we can set up a gift-wrapping event in your office for you and your employees.  We’ll supply the quality paper and beautiful bows.

Let us know when you’re ready to get some extra time or give the gift of time.  We’ll be happy to help you out during the holiday season.
